How to Drive Without Getting Accidented

Hi,
I am a car owner for the last 3 years and i never hit anyone. I wanted to write this article much before, but shortage of time was not allowing me to do so. Anyways, in this article, i will be discussing about various scenarios which will help you to drive without getting hit. So let us start :

1. Always keep enough distance - If you will follow this rule, you will never ever come across scenarios which causes accident. As a driver, you should keep ample distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you so that even if it stops unexpectedly/takes hard brake, you will be having enough time to slow down/stop. Here in India, people insert vehicle in between whenever i try to keep ample distance which makes me feel little bit uncomfortable. But this technique really helped me much as most vehicles hit from behind during an accident. Always remember that stopping distance increases with speed. For example distance required to stop a car at 80 kmph will be much more as compared to a car running at 40 kmph.

2. Always pay attention to traffic - This is the second factor which you should consider to protect yourself.
Dont look at your activity only but pay attention to what others doing as well and take decision accordingly. For example if a car running at parallel to you suddenly turns towards you, move other side a bit carefully ensuring that you dont hit other person while protecting yourself. In order to avoid such scenarios, i dont allow myself to run parallel to someone, if situation persists. You should also not drive if you are drunk or sick or full of fatigue or sleep.

3. Always Allow Others First - This is also one of the most important factor which is protecting me since day 1. I have seen so many drivers, specially bikers who try to jump in front of you from side and try to escape. This is very dangerous as the other person is not aware that someone can suddenly come and so chances are low that he will be able to stop his vehicle immediately. Here my second point comes into existence again, that the driver should pay enough attention for such scenario.
So many times, we stuck in such situation where 2 or more people have to pass through a single narrow path, in that situation, i always allow other person to go first. Because in order to avoid collision, atleast one of the two should stop. We dont know that what exactly is going on in other person's mind. If you and he both moves together, result will be damage to vehicles of both. That is why i always give way to others. Out of 2 of us atleast 1 must stop that is why you should stop as you dont know he will stop or run.
